Magnier turns up heat on Ferguson | World Soccer

John Magnier and JP McManus, Manchester United’s joint-biggest shareholders, have asked Sir Alex Ferguson to provide evidenbce to support his claim of ownership to the racehorse Rock of Gibraltar.

The Irish duo who own 25.49% of United, went to the High Court in Dublin on Monday asking for more particulars of Ferguson’s case.

The dispute, which co-incides with the Irish duo querying United’s transfer policy, concerns the horse’s stud fees with Ferguson claiming he is entitled to 50 per cent of the fees.

Magnier’s solicitors say Ferguson’s representatives have failed to provide the adequate information on three occasions which has resulted in him going to the High Court.
